Job scope for Coordinator (can work from home):

- Entertain clients requests for tutors via telephone calls, email and other sources.

- Get the suitable tutor from our database and other sources to be recommended to clients.

- Ensure client is satisfied with the tutor and handle the collection of the first payment from client (via online).

- A job is considered successfully closed once the first payment is received from client.

- Assist manager on some administrative tasks and marketing tasks.

Requirements:

- Can speak fluently in English & Malay. Ability to speak Chinese is a plus

- Goal-oriented & resourceful

- Hungry and will not settle just for the basic salary.

- Have self-discipline, organized & strong problem-solving skill

- Have a ‘can do’ spirit & not someone who likes to come up with excuses

- Able to work under limited or no supervision

- Able to work in a team & is a team player

- Must be computer literate, IT savvy & fast learner

- Must have your own laptop

- This is the available shift that you can work in (40 working hours per week):

Shift: Weekdays 6pm-10pm, Weekends 10am-10pm, break 1-2pm & 6-7pm

- Can write well in English & Malay

- Having experience in Sales & Customer Service is a plus

- This is a full time job.

 

Benefits:

- You can work from home or anywhere you like, but you must have access to fast internet.

- Meetings will be conducted mostly online. You don’t need to come to the office every day.

- Your income will be determined by how many jobs you managed to close. The more you close, the higher your income will be.

- You will have a number of jobs you have to close every month. You will be given freedom on how you plan to manage to achieve your target. Use your creativity & initiative to work with the team to achieve individual & team goals.

Remuneration

During probationary period of 3 months, basic salary is RM900 + 5% commission from gross profit of the jobs you closed.  (around RM1100/month or more)

After confirmation, basic salary is RM900 + 10% commission from gross profit of the jobs you closed (around RM1300/month or more). If you managed to achieve RM10,000 or more in monthly gross profit, commission for that month will be 20%  (around RM3800/month or more).

Main tasks:

Admin & PA

You will be assisting the General Manager in secretarial and administrative tasks of the company

Main tasks:

-       filing and documenting of company’s expenses

-       preparing claim forms for reimbursement

-       preparing supporting documents for claim purposes

-       maintaining receipts and bills

-       liaising with staff when needed

-       accompanying the GM to monthly meeting

-       attend trainings & meetings

-       preparing reports

-       assist the Finance Manager when he/she is not available

-       can travel occasionally to Ampang Park, KL and once or twice a month outstations for preparing seminar locations

 

Requirements:

 

- Can speak & write in Bahasa Melayu & English well

-Have own transport, can travel occasionally

- Organized, resourceful, have self-discipline & must be able to meet deadlines

- Must be computer literate, IT savvy & fast learner

- A problem solver

- Thorough in your work & have attention to detail

- Must have your own laptop

- Working hours are flexible (to be determined later) as long as you can complete the tasks given but you need to be contactable during 9-6 pm weekdays

Malaysians consider tuition ‘money well spent’

Tuition centers are, like they say in Malay, “bagai cendawan tumbuh selepas hujan”: roughly translated to meaning “like mushrooms growing after the rain”. From full-fledged centres to private tuition and even ad-hoc sessions in McDonalds; they are really everywhere. But where there is supply, there must be demand.

Previously, the idea catered to weaker students who needed extra help, but today, tuition classes have become the norm in a society where education is highly competitive and parents are no longer satisfied with relying on school teachers. However, tuition classes don’t come cheap, especially when there are many subjects, but parents are still willing to pay tidy sums for it.

Money for extra education

With limited space in good tertiary education institutions; parents want their child to stay academically competitive. Some say they have no faith in the education system here with the general consensus being that it is not up to par to other countries. Furthermore, for many parents, scoring A’s take paramount consideration over any other achievement and they thus strive to push their children into the path of academic excellence.

Let us say the number of times an average parent sends their child for tuition is 3 times a week. Average costs for tuition centers and private tuition would be RM110-RM150 per person per month or RM40-RM80 per subject depending on the centre. More prominent centres naturally cost more.

Mrs Chin, from Petaling Jaya, sends her daughter aged 13, for tuition classes and gymnastics for 7 days a week.

“I spend roughly about RM1020 a month for her tuition fees, and other curricular activities. It made me cut back on my spending but to know she’s getting the best for her education and with her being one of the top students in her school, I can safely say it is money worth spending. Moreover, she has won gymnastic tournaments and the hectic academic schedule has made her more disciplined.”

But not everyone spends as much. Arnold S sends his sons for tuition but only for select classes. “The total cost for the two of them is around RM340 per month. They are good boys overall and are only weak in 1-2 subjects. I send them only for those subjects and the price is RM50 for language subjects and RM70 for more technical subjects like Mathematics and Science. I don’t think they need the rest. RM340 is hard enough for us as my wife doesn’t work.”

But just like Mrs Chin, Arnold agrees that it is necessary. “School is not enough. I don’t want to be negative so I won’t criticise anyone. I will just say that my boys need the classes for their future.”

Faridah is more outright with her viewpoint. “My girl’s teachers are really not good enough. I couldn’t afford to send her for tuition in all subjects and a friend helped out. She pays for my daughter to have good additional mathematics tuition at RM400 per month. On top of that, I spend another RM140 to send her for two other subjects. I don’t feel we have a choice looking at what (kind of teachers) she has to contend with at school.”

It would seem that despite serious levels of inflation, many Malaysians still send their children for tuition classes and are willing to pay the price. It begs the question: is it just the paranoia of the people or truly an education system that’s so terribly broken?

- Issue payment receipts to clients and tutors

- Update any changes regarding schedule or classes in the system

- Handle issues from clients & tutors regarding payment, schedules & others

Requirements:

 

- Can speak Bahasa Melayu & English fluently.

- Preferably Muslim

- Organized, resourceful, have self-discipline & must be able to meet deadlines

- Must be computer literate, IT savvy & fast learner

- Can be strict & firm when dealing with tutors & clients

- A problem solver, tactful, patient, understanding and have empathy.

- Can write properly in Bahasa Melayu & English. Know how to explain things in a simple way.

- Thorough in your work & have attention to detail

- Have passion n willing to work extra hours in order to achieve your target

- Must have your own laptop

- Working hours are flexible (to be determined later) as long as you can complete the tasks given but you need to be contactable during 9-6 pm weekdays

- Having experience in accounting/ have background in accounting is a plus, but not necessary

- Must be able to come to Kota Damansara or office in Shah Alam for the occasional meetings and trainings.
