To be eligible, you must be a Malaysian citizen, a Permanent Resident of Malaysia, or a valid student pass or employment pass holder in Malaysia.
You must have a minimum academic qualification and should have good grades in the subject(s) that you wish to teach.
You hereby declare that all information provided to TutorKami is true, accurate, complete, and up to date. If any information provided is found to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or incomplete, TutorKami reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account.
If a client requires additional information about you and requests that your personal information be provided to them, we will ask for your permission first.
Before applying for any job, please read the job details carefully and thoroughly, especially the location, schedule, rate, and remarks. If you cannot meet the requirements or do not agree with the requirements, please do not apply.
If it is found that you applied for a job even though you could not meet the stated requirements, your account may be temporarily suspended. The duration of the suspension will be decided by our management team. If, after the suspension has been lifted, you repeat the same action, TutorKami reserves the right to terminate your account.
ONLY SHORTLISTED TUTORS WILL BE CONTACTED. If there is no update from us within 5 days from the date of application, it means that the client has chosen another tutor. Please do not contact us to request an explanation if you were not selected for a job.
TutorKami’s commission is not fixed and may vary depending on each tuition assignment. The applicable commission amount or arrangement will be displayed or stated in the job details for each job.
Before applying for or accepting any tuition assignment, you must carefully check the commission stated in the job details. By applying for or accepting a tuition assignment, you agree to the commission arrangement stated for that particular job.
The minimum commitment period is 4 weeks. If you terminate a tuition assignment within the first 4 weeks, TutorKami reserves the right to recover its agreed commission based on the commission stated in the job details for that particular job.
If the client terminates the assignment during the first 4 weeks due to your fault as a tutor, including but not limited to lateness, absence without a valid reason, poor conduct, or lack of competence, TutorKami reserves the right to take the full amount of the agreed commission stated in the job details for that particular job.
TutorKami is a tutor referral agency only and is not responsible for the services provided by tutors. Each tutor is solely responsible for arranging schedules, paying all taxes on income earned, and handling all other matters and responsibilities related to tutoring. TutorKami does not keep records of the number of students and sessions taken by registered tutors.
TutorKami will not act as an arbitrator or mediator for any conflicts or disagreements that arise between the tutor and the client, including the student, parent, guardian, or tuition centre owner. However, we may offer our views and suggestions where appropriate.
You are solely responsible for all information provided to TutorKami. TutorKami shall not be liable for any misrepresentation, fraud, inaccuracy, or omission in the information provided by you.
The entire risk as to the quality, accuracy, adequacy, completeness, correctness, and validity of any information or material provided by you rests with you. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, TutorKami, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, and representatives shall not be liable for any damages of any kind, including but not limited to compensatory, consequential, incidental, indirect, special, or similar damages, arising from the use of, or inability to use, any material or information provided by you or contained on this website.
TutorKami is not involved in tutor-student-parent interactions after a tutor has been introduced or assigned, except where TutorKami’s assistance is specifically requested and accepted. TutorKami is not responsible for any disputes, claims, losses, injuries, or damages that may arise during or after any lesson. Teaching at the student’s house, online, or at any agreed location, and interacting with parents, students, or clients, are undertaken at your own risk.
